Butterscotch Brownies
2 3/4 cups sifted flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Mix above ingredients in bowl, set aside.
2/3 cup shortening or margarine
2 1/4 cups dark brown sugar (1 box)
3 eggs
1 package of chocolate chip, semi-sweet (small)
Melt shortening, mix with dark brown sugar, let cool.
Mix in one egg at a time to sugar mixture.
Add flour mixture to eggs and sugar, slowly with blender. Mixture will become very thick.
Mix in chocolate chips by hand with spoon.
Spread into greased pan. Mixture is very thick, but will spread out.
Grease 15" x 10" pan or a cookie sheet with sides
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 22 minutes.
